Sketchbook Master Studies

This is a spread of master studies I painted in my sketchbook during an abroad program in Florence, Italy. The piece on the left is of Samson Slays the Lion by Francesco Hayez at Palazzo Pitti, the right is of Noli me Tangere by Giovanni Della Robbia at the Museo Nazionale del Bargello. I used acrylic paint and markers to create vibrant colors to capture the awe I felt when first observing these pieces.
